  1. About 7 years ago, some friends and I trolled one of their concerts by singing their songs obnoxiously loud. We were just having fun but we were so incredibly dedicated to the bit that it became obvious we weren’t behaving out of genuine joy. So… the lead singer eventually gave us all the finger. It was a pretty amazing moment and I couldn’t really blame him. However, the last several years the band seems to be continuing to spiral out of control.

  2. He then retires from music, it’s a sad last “performance” but he had no business getting on that stage. Who organized this event and who was their sound guy? I’ve seen house parties with better sound equipment 😂

  3. I saw them live about 5 years ago for a 4th of July concert. They were phenomenal and put everything into it! The crowd went nuts and asked for ovations, it was that good. It was the perfect ending to a warm July the 4th, right before the fireworks. I understand not everything can last forever. I'm choosing to remember all the years of happiness they gave us, and they're music will always be great. Thank you Smash mouth!

  4. I'm not sure what's more disturbing, Steve's behaviour, or the fact people are laughing, clapping and cheering him when he says he's going to kill someone's family.

  5. i've been there before when i use to do shows. when the hired sound guy for the event is usually the security guard and has no clue wtf hes doing and cant fix the sound at that point theres no reason to even try to perform you just start doing stupid shit to kill time. and being drunk amplifies that. technically you still get paid as long as you stay up there

  6. Everyone is laughing but this is just sad. He's dying of heart failure from drinking himself to death. I don't think he ever got over the loss of his son and now he's trying to join him in the grave.

  7. I was there in bethel. I had a blast. Terrible show. Laughed my ass off. Saw gals twerking to songs from shriek. I guess when all the bottles purchased at a wine and spirits convention make their way into an audience, funny things happen. Steve smashed a lot of beers on stage. I’m shocked anyone got offended by what was said, you couldn’t understand a word he was saying.
